Denver County Court, Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse, 520 W. Colfax Ave. DUI cases are heard only in its Criminal Division. The criminal clerk’s office is in Room 160, 720-337-0410.
Denver’s court system works differently from the rest of Colorado. Denver County Court is run by the City and County of Denver, not the state Judicial Branch. It is both a municipal and a state court: it hears city ordinance cases, which elsewhere go to a separate municipal court, and state misdemeanors such as DUI.
Unlike every other judicial district in Colorado, Denver’s 2nd Judicial District is not a combined court. It has four separate courts: County, District, Probate and Juvenile.
Felony DUI cases go to Denver District Court. A DUI becomes a felony when it follows three or more prior convictions for DUI, DWAI, or alcohol- or drug-related vehicular assault or homicide.

Denver County Court Probation, Minoru Yasui Building, 303 W. Colfax Ave., 8th floor. 720-913-8300.
The state directs DUI probation that isn’t a felony case to County Court Probation at that number. Denver Adult Probation, on the 5th floor of the same building, is a separate office under the District Court. Check your paperwork for the right floor before you go.
County Court Probation has a dedicated DUI/DWAI unit, and its officers administer the court’s DUI assessment. Your probation officer is the right person to ask which level of education or therapy you’ve been assigned.

Two separate systems can require DUI classes:
Level I is 12 hours of alcohol and drug education. Level II education is 24 hours over 12 weeks. Level II therapy runs from about 5 months (Track A) to 10 months (Track D). Your track depends on your BAC, whether you refused testing, and your prior offenses. See the full Level 2 track breakdown →
Level II therapy ordinarily begins only after Level II education is complete. Starting earlier requires a documented assessment and clinical rationale (2 CCR 502-1-10.8(H)).
People with four or more DUI/DWAI offenses must be referred to Level II Four Plus, a separate program of at least 180 hours over at least 18 months (2 CCR 502-1-10.5.3(D)(2)). State rules require it to be delivered in person unless telehealth is clinically indicated or the client can’t attend in person.

The DMV case and the court case are separate. The DMV says findings in one have no effect on the other. Even if your criminal case is reduced or dismissed, the DMV can still require Level II classes before reinstating your license.
If you also need to retake the written test, go to Denver Northeast. The Regional Service Center doesn’t list written tests.
Proving you finished. Your provider issues a DUI/DWAI Referral Summary (DRS) within 10 business days of completion, at no charge. Submit it through MyDMV, by email to dor_interlock@state.co.us, or in person.
Reinstating before you finish. If you’re a Colorado resident currently enrolled in Level II and otherwise eligible for reinstatement, an Affidavit of Enrollment (DR 2643) completed by your provider can let you reinstate before you finish. Finishing the program is a condition of that reinstatement.

Yes. Denver County Court started its Sobriety Court in 2011 for adults with second or third DUI offenses. It pairs treatment with close court supervision and a dedicated team. Participation is voluntary and depends on both legal and clinical eligibility. The program runs in five phases over about 14 to 24 months.
Ask your attorney or probation officer whether it’s an option in your case.
Yes. Colorado’s DUI rules allow Level I and Level II education and therapy by telehealth (2 CCR 502-1-10.6(B), 10.7(B), 10.8(B)). Every 5280 session is live on Zoom with a licensed clinician in a real group. We never use self-paced video. The one exception is Level II Four Plus, which the rules generally require in person.
Two things can set your requirement, and they can differ: your court order, which is based on your evaluation, and the DMV’s reinstatement rules (listed above). Your probation officer is the first person to ask about the court side. At intake, we check that the level and track on your paperwork match your evaluation. If something doesn’t line up, we resolve it with your referral source before you start, because hours completed in one level don’t count toward another.
For your classes to count, they must take place after the date of your most recent DUI/DWAI offense. Classes taken before that date don’t count.
Not necessarily. The DMV may still require Level II education and therapy before reinstating your license.
Not always. If you’re otherwise eligible, an Affidavit of Enrollment (DR 2643) can let you reinstate while you’re still in Level II.
For a misdemeanor DUI, it’s the 8th floor of the Minoru Yasui Building, 303 W. Colfax: Denver County Court Probation.
