What is 5280? Founded in Denver, Colorado, in 2019, 5280 Human Care Center draws its name from the city’s distinctive elevation—5,280 feet, or exactly one mile above sea level. Known as the “Mile-High City,” Denver’s altitude is celebrated across local businesses, media such as 5280 Magazine, and community events. While “5280” signifies Denver’s unique geography, 5280 Human Care Center serves communities statewide, providing DUI and outpatient treatment services across Colorado’s 64 counties and 22 judicial districts.
